Well... i actually do miss the radiographers at NHC... they are all soo nice and sincere! Although some of them are quite quiet especially our supervisor who spoke to us the most only today! Cos other days he's busy with something. But we managed to talk to other radiographers...like Felix, Roksana and Suhanti(spellin?!). The girls were very sweet and nice to us. We even had a share of the cake meant for them - a celebration of them at NHC for 2 years!
I think Felix is a philipino judging frm the way he spoke. He taught us a few stuffs here and there. I really love working with most philipino radiographers...they seemed to have this innate cheerfulness in them. And not forgetting the fact that they are super friendly and nice to everyone.
We watched a case(from outside 'cos we didnt dare to go in) by this particular doctor who's known for his temper and straight-forwardness. Felix was doing the case....he was being told off a few times... but he laughed it off after the procedure ended. Wow...i must really learn from him! Definitely wasn't easy being told off in front of everyone.

I've learn quite alot in NHC. Mainly human relationships and interaction. 'Cos its teamwork and NOT about individuality. Its totally different from doing general radiography where we get to work independently. During procedures, radiographers have to coordinate with the doctors and nurses. And we dont get to position patients like we usually do in general. In NHC, its mainly operating the machine.

This quote absolutely describes the doctors there. Some are really nice...and some...well... lets just say that they have their own kind of personality. Haha...

Been to see how they implant pacemaker into the patient. One word to describe the experience - Interesting. If any of the evil clan members are going NHC...pls do grab the chance to observe it. Well... unless you can't take blood and those eeky stuffs related to surgery. Our eyes were totally glued to the whole process. Ya...sounds quite Sua Ku(mountain tortise)... but how many of us actually do get the chance to observe doctors doing a surgery on a patient? And the patient was very much conscious during that procedure. He kept moving and saying that his body was aching from staying at a position for too long. We all had to assure and comfort him...so that the doc can finish the surgery. Then during fluoro(to check the position of the device), his hand was on his chest covering the heart....hahaa... we saw a hand x-ray shadow complete with all the bones over the heart. Then the nurse had to use her hand to pull his hand away. It was pretty funny seeing the live fluoro video as they tried to get his hand off.

Yup...we had to change into scrubs complete with caps, masks and lead gowns b4 going into the procedure room. Everything is just like being in operating theatre... alot of green cloths.
Worse thing was we had to change in and out alot of times!
1. when we arrive for work.
2. when we go out for lunch.
3. when we come back from lunch.
4. when we going home.
total changing 4times a day... ha~ Me and chongyi heck care liao... 2nd day onwards we wore super slack and casual to work. Shoes also wear open toes...haha.

Just after chong yi and me bidded goodbye today...she walked towards the NEL station and me towards the Eastwest station of outram park. She msged me...saying that she kena some birdshit on her head! LOL... Ooops...im not supposed to laugh... BUT! imagine if I didnt decide to buy something and headed another direction, I would have walked with her to the NEL station! Wa...then i might kena the birdshit also leh! hahaha... anyways shes ok... dun worry ppl =)
